More About Me: |
I LOVE TEACHING!!! You are going to see me get really excited about things that we cover in class, and I hope that you feel the same way. I promise, learning can be FUN, but only if you let it be!
When I am not at school with all of you, I do like to do other stuff. In my spare time I love to go running, hiking, camping, and kayaking. I have even ran in a mini-marathon before (that's 13.1 miles). It was hard, but when you set your mind to something, and work really hard, you can accomplish anything. I am married to a pretty awesome guy, Mr. Bizzell, who you will hear me talk about often. I also have two super cute fur-kids that you will get to hear all about. Their names are Raylee and Zeke. I personally think they are the cutest dog and cat to ever live, but I may be a little biased. |
My History: |
Guess what? I am a Highland Hills Middle School graduate! In fact, I was part of the first eighth grade group to ever attend the new school. I even had some of your teachers as my own teachers! Crazy stuff right? And you guessed it, I went to Floyd Central for high school too! I'm a tried and true Jag and Highlander FOR LIFE!
When it came time for college, I attended Indiana University Southeast. While I was studying to become a teacher I got to student teach right here at HHMS with Mrs. Murphy! Finally, in 2013, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education. Before coming to HHMS, I had many other cool experiences while teaching. In 2013, I became a subsitute teacher for the Monroe County Community School Corporation. In 2014, I was hired onto the faculty of Batchelor Middle School, teaching writer's workshop and reading lab classes for two years! I even got to try out coaching while I was there, which was really fun! I am so glad that this year I get to come HOME to Highland Hills, where I belong! GO JAGS! |
